Every batch KineticPep sells is verified by an independent analytical laboratory at ≥99% HPLC purity before it reaches the catalogue. This page documents how the testing works and how to request the Certificate of Analysis for the specific batch you receive.
How each batch is tested
Peptide batches are analysed with reverse-phase HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) to determine chromatographic purity as area percentage. Identity is confirmed with mass spectrometry against the expected molecular weight of the sequence. Additional checks include net content (mg per vial), appearance of the lyophilizate, and pH after reconstitution in the recommended carrier.
What ≥99% HPLC purity means
A purity of ≥99% by HPLC area% means that at least 99% of the UV-detectable signal at the analytical wavelength corresponds to the target peptide. The remaining ≤1% accounts for truncated sequences, deletion peptides, oxidation products, or synthesis-side impurities that are unavoidable in any solid-phase peptide synthesis workflow.
Why 100% is a red flag
No commercially produced peptide is 100.0% pure at the HPLC level, even with the most advanced preparative purification. Suppliers that claim a constant 100% purity across every batch are either rounding aggressively, running low-resolution methods, or fabricating results. A trustworthy vendor publishes the actual number for each batch, which will vary slightly (99.1%, 99.4%, 99.7%, etc.).
Batch-specific Certificate of Analysis
Every KineticPep batch has its own Certificate of Analysis, which includes: peptide name and sequence, batch number, manufacturing date, HPLC purity percentage, HPLC chromatogram, mass-spectrometry identity result, net content, appearance, and the signature of the analyst who ran the tests.
How to request a COA
Send an email to sales@example.com with the product name and, if you already have a vial in hand, the batch number printed on the label. The batch-specific PDF is sent back within 24 business hours. There is no charge and no account required to request a COA.
Storage and stability
Lyophilized vials are stable at room temperature during transit thanks to the very low residual moisture content of the freeze-dried powder. On arrival, we recommend transferring the vials to a domestic refrigerator (2–8 °C) and keeping them upright and shielded from light. Reconstituted product is typically usable for approximately four weeks when kept at 2–8 °C in the original vial, though this varies by peptide.
Research use only
KineticPep products are sold for laboratory research use only. We do not perform pharmacological, clinical, or veterinary validation of any kind. Users are responsible for verifying local research-chemical regulations and for any downstream analytical or biological work performed on the material.
